You can't buy stamps at a discount

An email landed in my spam folder the other day. It read:

"Score an incredible 50% discount from USPS for a limited time. Shop Now and Save: 60% Discount on All US Postage Stamps!"

It's ridiculous, of course, but no doubt some people gave up their credit card numbers and ordered stamps that would never arrive.

While the Post Office does offer "Forever" stamps, it doesn't offer discounts. There is a reason this was routed into my spam folder.
